Everything is OK..... but the hook.

I process game almost every time in the field and really was looking for a heavyweight knife, something cleaver like but not that square, so when I saw the Bush Slicer I went ahead and got a couple. Skinning, quartering ok but gutting....the hook hooked everywhere. Cooking with the Bush Slicer is great, pair good with my BK-5. I have come to like it a lot for general bushcrafting, and the quality and design of the sheath help a lot to carry it comfortably. Wish the hook was just a round hole or not having a hole at all....but still a 5 star knife from Condor!!!

Great hard use knife

I purchased this knife about 6 months ago to use as a chopper while camping and have to say I am blown away. While the edge holds up well to wood chopping, I have found myself using it more in the kitchen at home than in the field. It performs admirably chopping tasks such as cutting up winter squash and potatoes and even does well at more delicate tasks such as breaking down a fish to butterfly. While I have not used the notch to lift a dutch oven lid, it does work extremely well as a bottle opener for when you are grilling and drinking some beer. Only con is that the sheath straps do not lend themselves to horizontal carry very well and that the sheath does not fit very well with a tek-lok. Overall though, very solid knife for both kitchen and outdoor use.

Chef's knife

I got the knife as a gift for fathers day .. love the knife,I use it for everything carry it everywhere outdoors .. The only con I see is the hook on top always getting in the way..If it would come without i would buy the new one without the hook and pass this one on to a family member ..

Condor Bush Slicer

Maybe it's just the one I got,but horrible blade grind it's basically a slab of steel with a very dull secondary grind. Sharpest thing on the knife is the pot hook.
