I ordered the Michael Rodriguez Xolotl based on the unique design. I was very pleased when I first handled the knife. Very sharp, with an excellent blade grind wrapped in an ergonomic handle. The handle also can be used for defensively, as it comes to a strong point. This knife will pierce and slice just about anything. The Xolotl will definitely go in my EDC rotation.

Very nice knife. Yes, the reference to the Aztec deity is correct. Its styling is reminding of the Aztec Empire like the gods Quetzalcoatl and his nemesis Tezcatlipoca. Very nice blade. Highly recommended with the excellent customer service from Knifecenter as usual.

Cons: Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
not the greatest!
This piece appears to be well constructed and very solid. Opening and closing the blade is nowhere near as easy as it appears to be in the Quick Flick video. It requires a great deal of pressure to open the blade and the liner lock mechanism didn't lock the blade out properly until I bent it a bit inward. Overall I'm not thrilled with the purchase.
