Great design’ best one yet!

I purchased this Folts for dedicated weal side carry opposite my pistol for a “just in case” someone where to go for my gun I could defend against that’ knife is beefier than the older models’ fits great in hand’ the sheath though is loose’ I fixed that with a little bit of heat and some pressure applied until cool’ now it’s 125% awesome’ another home run!

Excellent little knife, sheath not great

Excited to receive this latest edition to the CRKT Folts Minimalist family. This is my fourth Minimalist. Yes I love Alan Folts designs! The knife itself is excellent in the spear point blade design and is the usual great bang for buck from CRKT. The only thing I can fault is the sheath fit. I’m not sure if this was just a faulty sheath but the knife is extremely loose in the sheath. It rattles and flops about. My other three Minimalists do not have this issue so I’m actually quite disappointed. I’ve been wearing the knife on my belt all day (it arrived this morning) and it’s a comfortable carry but the movement in the sheath is annoying.

Cool knife, loose sheath

I really like the knife. The grip is surprisingly good with the finger cutouts. I thought I would remove the lanyard but I ended up keeping it because it gives just enough purchase for my pinky to wrap around. This would be a 5 star knife but the sheath it comes with is loose. I own the cleaver version of the minimalist and when inserted into its sheath there is a reassuring "click" and the blade will not come out. With this spearpoint model however, there is noticeable play in the sheath. Just for comparisons I shook the cleaver version upside down and it remained immobile, I did the same for this one and it fell out. However, this blade should still remain plenty secure for normal use that does not involve shaking the sheath upside down.
