Description

CR2396: 2396 Folts Minimalist Neck Knife - Spear Point

Columbia River (CRKT)

Specifically built for anything that needs to be cut. This compact, fixed blade knife features a versatile, stonewashed spear point. Measuring just 5.2 inches total and weighing 2.1 ounces, this knife stays true to its name, giving you a take-anywhere minimalist knife that's ready for anything.

Alan Folts of Melbourne, Florida released the original Minimalist design years ago and it has since expanded to a full line of outdoor, fixed blade knives. This small powerhouse packs a lot into its lightweight design. The 2.15-inch, the high-carbon stainless steel blade is easy to sharpen, and its spear-point design strikes a balance between a dagger and a drop point blade, adept at both piercing and slicing.

The polished resin-infused fiber handle is built with deep ergonomic choils for a no-slip grip. A versatile sheath is equipped to work as a neck knife, slip easily onto a belt, or attach to gear.

Take your favorite with you for when you might need it most—all of the time.

Great design’ best one yet!
I purchased this Folts for dedicated weal side carry opposite my pistol for a “just in case” someone where to go for my gun I could defend against that’ knife is beefier than the older models’ fits great in hand’ the sheath though is loose’ I fixed that with a little bit of heat and some pressure applied until cool’ now it’s 125% awesome’ another home run!

Cool knife, loose sheath
I really like the knife. The grip is surprisingly good with the finger cutouts. I thought I would remove the lanyard but I ended up keeping it because it gives just enough purchase for my pinky to wrap around. This would be a 5 star knife but the sheath it comes with is loose. I own the cleaver version of the minimalist and when inserted into its sheath there is a reassuring "click" and the blade will not come out. With this spearpoint model however, there is noticeable play in the sheath. Just for comparisons I shook the cleaver version upside down and it remained immobile, I did the same for this one and it fell out. However, this blade should still remain plenty secure for normal use that does not involve shaking the sheath upside down.

Excellent little knife, sheath not great
Excited to receive this latest edition to the CRKT Folts Minimalist family. This is my fourth Minimalist. Yes I love Alan Folts designs! The knife itself is excellent in the spear point blade design and is the usual great bang for buck from CRKT. The only thing I can fault is the sheath fit. I’m not sure if this was just a faulty sheath but the knife is extremely loose in the sheath. It rattles and flops about. My other three Minimalists do not have this issue so I’m actually quite disappointed. I’ve been wearing the knife on my belt all day (it arrived this morning) and it’s a comfortable carry but the movement in the sheath is annoying.
