Pros: Ease of Opening
Cons: Handle Feel, Handle Material
Form does not meet intended function.
General positive feedback on the Razel designs made the 2021 refinements seem appealing. Unfortunately, it is awkward and seems to make concessions to price-point that basically disqualify its use. I have average hand size and the handle is too short for a work knife. You can't get your pinky inside the lower swell, and if you let it rest outside, the oddly pointy bolster pokes into your palm meat. The handle material is very slick, and the texturing does little to add grip. Holding the knife in chisel/scrape mode also feels a bit insecure. Assisted opening feels decent, handle feels strong, but the ergos should be field-tested more for the sort of scraping and push-cutting the design suggests. Even as a sort of utility/garage knife, it should be bigger and grippier.
