Fine engineering, artistry evident.

Intrigued I picked this up. Great service, shipping from KnifeCenter. Knife is a looker and action is smooth. Blade is locked folded and deployed. The unique lock/ deployment mechanism is cool. The knife reminds one of a fine wind up watch, and the smooth action of a well worn revolver, old school. Only issue to me, YMMV, is the pocket clip- I think it is too long ending too close to where one operates the action. My index finger contacts the clip’s raised end when I engage the action to open. I possibly can adjust my finger placement but my habitual method is ingrained, perhaps altering the clip is in order. That aside, the 4200 , is an excellent knife for an EDC.

Wonderful Knife - exactly what I was looking for

This is great knife for every day carry - and the blade lock is unique among the knives I own. Feels great in the hand, and purchasing from Knife Center was fantastic

Interesting blade lock

You need to press the thumb stud outwards in order to deploy the blade AND release the lock. Not the eaiest to get the hang of. The blade is very sharp. Perhaps a little overpriced considering the the knife is on the small side, but all in all I am quite satisfied with the knife.

Different, almost unique, opening knife

I liked virtually everything about this knife, at first. Unique locking mechanism, nice looking sharp blade, solid heft. But I like to modify my knives and make them my own. To that end I was going to remove the scales and make new ones out of some scrap ivory I had left over from another knife and some gun grips. But as I tried to remove the screws that held the scales two of the T6 stripped before they loosened. 4 had come out but with 2 stripped and I did not want to make things worse. The screws are too darn tight and too small at T6. I am a firm believer in T8 screws and no loctite. Anyway, I sent it back for repair and asked them to replace the stripped screws and to finger tighten all the others. There are a lot of screws on this knife. Overall I like the knife and plan to keep it. But they need to take the Hulk off the line where the scales are screwed on. Brown scales are not my favorite.

Cool design poorly assembled

Wanted this unique design for a while and after hinting around for Christmas and a birthday I simply got it for myself. The design is cool, watch-like and the lock is a joy to use. Unfortunately for a higher priced CRKT, the assembly quality isn't up to standards. The scales aren't sitting flush to the frame and it appears the screws were forced in. I plan to try to reassemble it correctly but I suspect I'll find the screws cross threaded and stuck. The price was good but I'd call this a 'second' or blem on quality. Have had good luck on lower cost crkt but this one was a dud.
