CR4200: Michael Walker 4200 Walker Blade Lock Folder
CRKT
Few names in knifemaking command as much reverence as Michael Walker. The jeweler-turned-knifemaker is a true master of his craft, known for his artistic and ornate designs that transcend the usual definition of a knife. The Walker is an attractive folding knife with an intuitive locking mechanism perfect for one-handed opening. The button-style lock on the thumb stud of the blade allows you to control it during opening and closing perfectly. This opening action is assisted by the IKBS ball bearings in the pivot making for a smooth deployment. The modified sheepsfoot blade is made from 14C28N stainless steel for excellent edge retention while the steel and G10 handles provide strength and security during hard use. Finished with a stainless steel pocket clip, the Walker is a sleek and unique pocket knife that you won't regret owning.

Cool design poorly assembled
Wanted this unique design for a while and after hinting around for Christmas and a birthday I simply got it for myself. The design is cool, watch-like and the lock is a joy to use. Unfortunately for a higher priced CRKT, the assembly quality isn't up to standards. The scales aren't sitting flush to the frame and it appears the screws were forced in. I plan to try to reassemble it correctly but I suspect I'll find the screws cross threaded and stuck. The price was good but I'd call this a 'second' or blem on quality. Have had good luck on lower cost crkt but this one was a dud.

Interesting blade lock
You need to press the thumb stud outwards in order to deploy the blade AND release the lock. Not the eaiest to get the hang of. The blade is very sharp. Perhaps a little overpriced considering the the knife is on the small side, but all in all I am quite satisfied with the knife.
