CRKT's Cute Compact CEO equal to an EDC twice its size...

Second of two CEOs (first 3.107" CRKT 7096) both purchased on impulse. The 7095 is even smaller in scale. Yet, compared to the 7096, and notwithstanding a variety of reviews of individual's experience manipulating this EDC, I am in the camp with those who find, the scale small, the appearance elegant, the color a nice difference, the flipper highly functional, in fact, each time I employ the flipper, there's an element of surprise (for me) because the blade flies open like an automatic when I am expecting it not to. The effort is so minimal the action so maximum. And, as for closing the blade, while I had to go to school to close the 7096, the 7095 just folded neatly, undramatically, easily slightly magical. Just to be sure that wasn't a fluke, I repeated the flipper open with the same, "it flies open like a serious knife" and then closes with little effort and reliably. I guess my CEO remains at the head of the CEO class. I can't say I love it. But, it performs so well and looks so good, is so convenient to stow, acts like a knife twice its size, that I respect it. Impulse or not, glad to have added this Blue-Gray to my collection. Just to be clear, despite the 7095 being smaller, which one would expect making flipping and frame locking manipulating a study in how best to get it done, I noticed the minimal size, frame immediately and expected as I indicated, only to find, its scale did not hinder my open and closing the blade or having the leverage to do either an issue. How is that?

Work friendly

I've been carrying this all summer and love it. I'm a lefty so I reversed the pocket clip which was super easy on the tail mounted clip. (T6) Looks like a pen in my pocket so it's very work friendly. Needed a little sharpening work after vacation but at this price it's outstanding.

Sweet.

This is a sweet blade. I have large hands (can pretty much palm a basketball). Flipping it took some getting used to at first, just building the muscle memory. Effortless now. It's tiny, fits nicely in my front jeans pocket and I can reach my hand in to grab keys or wallet without noticing it's there. Deep carry clip makes it look like a pen. Sharp, classy and inexpensive.

One sexy pocket knife!

This is one sexy little pocket knife! I have this in a variety of mods and love this thing. In fact it has kicked off a whole new gear addition craze for me that I easily fall for every time. It's perfectly balanced, excellent steel and craftsmanship, and has great mechanics with buttery smooth operations... and is 150% figit friendly. :-D For around $45you simply can't go wrong!

Just right...

This Gentleman's knife fits nicely in my shirt pocket. Very handy around the house for lite duty jobs..."anybody got a knife?" it's always there and it does get borrowed every once in a while. I can go anywhere with it and not scare anyone if I pull it out of my shirt pocket for this or that. Can't really do that with a large knife. The length of the handle is just right for me to easily operate the flipper...with thumb, forefinger and middle finger. When I get fidgety it's right there to scratch that itch. I like it and would like another in case I wear this one out. Two is always better than one! I really like this little knife. It's both sharp looking and sharp out of the box. The lock is a little hard to release conventionally but I always unlock most of my knifes by pulling the release from the other side and underneath with my forefinger where the release is much more accessible. So much easier on the thumb.

Wife Love's it!

This came today with another knife I ordered. I got it for the wife as it was time to upgrade her El'Cheapo S&W that was just worn out. It's small and exactly what she was looking for. Open easily for me she has never had a flipper but is getting the hang of it. The only ding I have on this very affordable knife is the liner lock, It's not easy to access but with practice I'm sure she will get the hang of it as well. Overall. for the price and size it's a really good deal.

Great look & feel, pocket clip needs help

Excellent size, fit & finish. Use this for everyday tasks. Like the one-handed opening design. Do not care for the pocket clip. It can be removed, but leaves an ugly gap in an otherwise great-looking knife. Is there a filler blank for the clip space?

Cool Little Knife

This is a slick little knife. For being so small, the flipper works very well. It’s nice and sharp, the color looks cool and the reversible clip is good since I’m a lefty. I haven’t had any issues with the coloring on the handle wearing away as some others have said. If I do run into that, I’ll just try to dye it. It’s nylon so it should take pretty well. Overall, very cool knife.

Love the knife, the finish of the scales sucks

This is my 3rd CEO, love the knife, and the pretty finish on the scales failed pretty quickly. I'm kinda looking forward to see if all the blue grey rubs off and it becomes a cool little black knife.

Great knife. Doesn’t stay pretty.

I generally don’t use this knife as a work knife, so it has been treated gently but the finish on the handle rubs off VERY easily. All the corners lost paint and the faces of the scales have large gashes of paint. The pocket clip bends quite easily but it’s not hard to fix. Other than that, the knife is great. Very stylish, the action was great out of box, and still is. The hardware doesn’t strip when disassembling. The blade is still razor sharp, and didn’t rust in my humid climate. The knife feels very solid, but also light enough to put in shorts pockets. I would recommend this knife to anyone who wants a solid stylish suit knife or a light duty edc. Just be weary, the finish will not last.

Poor handle quality

Love this knife. My only complaint is literally after a few days of being in the pocket the finish, or "coating" on the handle was rubbing or peeling off all of the edges. I'm patiently waiting for someone to PLEASE make some after market scales for this model ceo.

Tough to open and close

The opening action is pretty stiff and with it being so small it's hard to grip it and still get enough force to open it. So after several consecutive flips your finger tip will be hurting. The liner lock is actually below the surface of the scales/frame of the knife so you have to use your thumb nail or firmly press the pad of your thumb in there to engage it. I'm please with the knife's size, appearance, and blade but I do hope it breaks in some and becomes easier to open.

Scales

The finish is beautiful out of the box but not very durable. I generally keep it in a shirt pocket but had occasion to put it in my front pants pocket and it didn't survive the day. Not a complaint but a word of warning

Not great

Was very excited to see this pop up as a new item and purchased immediately. Sadly..the liner lock is VERY difficult to deal with and the flipper is a finger buster. If you only open occasional it might be OK but not for frequent in and out of pocket use. Also, clip is way too stiff and bulky for an otherwise sleek and appealing design. Adding it to the drawer of neat but not carried items.

Nice knife, but you'll be disappointed

Nice blade, but you'll be disappointed as the handle coloring scrapes off in your pocket.
