CR7095: Richard Rogers 7095 CEO Compact

CRKT

The CEO Compact is a knife that's dressed for success. At first glance, it could be mistaken for a pen tucked into a shirt pocket. And that's exactly the way the CEO Compact folding knife was designed. With a supremely low profile and no corners cut on usability and ergonomics, it embodies the working spirit of everyday carry. The color is fantastic - somewhere between blue and gray.

Known for his clean, simple, highly-usable designs, Richard Rogers releases another formidable knife from his shop in the scrubby hills of Magdalena, New Mexico. Created with dress shirt pockets and v-neck scrubs in mind, the slim, low-profile CEO Compact poses as a pen until a sealed letter needs opening or a suit needs a finishing touch. With lubed ball bearings in the pivot to reduce friction, a slim thumb stud sets IKBS in motion, quickly deploying the satin-finished stainless steel blade. A locking liner keeps it securely in place between the sleek and strong glass-reinforced nylon handle.

The CEO Compact: pairs best with an extra dark roast and a long to-do list.

Cool Little Knife
This is a slick little knife. For being so small, the flipper works very well. It’s nice and sharp, the color looks cool and the reversible clip is good since I’m a lefty. I haven’t had any issues with the coloring on the handle wearing away as some others have said. If I do run into that, I’ll just try to dye it. It’s nylon so it should take pretty well. Overall, very cool knife.

Nice knife, but you'll be disappointed
Nice blade, but you'll be disappointed as the handle coloring scrapes off in your pocket.

Great knife. Doesn’t stay pretty.
I generally don’t use this knife as a work knife, so it has been treated gently but the finish on the handle rubs off VERY easily. All the corners lost paint and the faces of the scales have large gashes of paint. The pocket clip bends quite easily but it’s not hard to fix. Other than that, the knife is great. Very stylish, the action was great out of box, and still is. The hardware doesn’t strip when disassembling. The blade is still razor sharp, and didn’t rust in my humid climate. The knife feels very solid, but also light enough to put in shorts pockets. I would recommend this knife to anyone who wants a solid stylish suit knife or a light duty edc. Just be weary, the finish will not last.
