I Have Now Bought Five Of These knives...Great First Knife Or EDC!
The more I use them, the more I love them..! They have become my constant companions around the house; my at-home EDCs! They are light weight in the pocket of my gym shorts, take and keep a reasonable edge, thumb stud or slip joint, and make great, inexpensive gifts to friends who are not knife people, but have a similar need as mine! And through daily use may become knife people when they finally understand the utilitarian purpose a handy EDC serves; around the house or around the town! Highly Recommended as a First Knife for anyone, Adult or Youth!

I will buy them until KC stops offering them, and continue to give them away to non-knife-people, who don't know how much they need a knife in their pocket! I'm getting positive feedback from all of my giiftees. One has actually bought a Kershaw Leek for herself, and not a basic one, either! She loves the 'tip lock'! Go figure!

I have a little silverware storage container that greets me on what is supposed to be my dinner table when I enter my apartment. This container is where I place my handful of EDC selections for the week, keys , pill boxes, etc. Now when I leave home on my way out the door for the day, I pocket my chosen EDCs, and place my Inara in that container to await my return! This little knife then pops into the pocket of my gym shorts, jogger pants, or whatever I will be lounging in for the evening! The knife is so light, I know it isn't going to drag my pants to the floor if I get an ocasional visitor, and I also don't have to go lookijng for a knife when I need one! (like opening food packges in the kitchen or mail or packages in the family room or living room!) If I need heavier duty assistance, I have that available among my 250 pc eclectic collection (ranging in size from that teeny little Al Mar slipjoint to my Ka-Bar Zomstro or BK20, or even my USMC NCO Sword!) I LOVE this pocket friendly Homebound EDC!

Great little knife
Good value. Frame lock. Made for right hand use. Easy to carry, often fitting in the fifth pocket, but would also be useful in a tackle box. No super steel for this price, but it's sharp out of the box and easy to sharpen, with good utility.

Unobtrusive and functional
Thin in pocket, versatile knife. Deep carry clip and interesting blade design. I like this knife better than the CRKT CEO and CRKT Crossbones. Mastering the thumb flip may take a little practice so as not to press on the frame lock but it works very well. I have dozens of knives that cost much more than this Inara but I have grown fond of this for daily carry.

Not a premium steel, but acceptable. Acceptable scales. Liner lock. Deploys perfectly. Weighs only 1.8 OZ. So you literally don't know it's in your pocket! And that's acceptable, too. But when you need a knife, there it is, and you're glad you have it. Yeah, you might have to sharpen it from time to time, and you probably won't be well pleased with its bushcrafting capabilities, but those 99% daily tasks you need a little knife for, this knife can get it done! If I weren't already married to my rotation, this would slip right in; but it will ceraiinly see duty on evenings out, and just generally around the house. If I need something heavier or more specialized there, I'll know where to find it! But at 20 bucks, I bought three to just lay around, just in case!

I will buy more of these as long as KC keeps offering them at this price, and I still have non-knife-friends who don't know the value of owning a pocket knife! I have only kept two, now, and given three away; the giftees have each responded positively, and one even bought a new knife for her own use; a Kershaw Leek with a special blade (and she loves the tip-lock!) I don't have a giftee in mind for this one yet, but I know I won't have it long!

Everyone in our household owns and carries this knife. Elegant design, comfortable in the hand, lightweight - yet sturdy It is comfortable in the pocket and non-threatening looking for use in the workplace. Has survived the washing machine with no visible damage. Best of all - it is a damn good knife at an unbelievably reasonable price. I carry one every day and feel lost without it. At this point it is like an extension of my hand, so easy to use. Richard Rogers outdid himself with this number. We keep spares of it at all times. We give them as gifts ... but only to our special friends. I have amassed a serious collection of different knives ('variety is the spice of knife") but the Inara is the perfect day-to-day, always there knife.

Sometimes, you need an ax. Sometimes, you need a machete. And sometimes, you just need a small sharp knife with a precision point for the most delicate cuts. Not the greatest thumb flick opener, but with practice it can be done.

I have paid way more for for less well made knives. The construction is really good, Detent is strong gets a nice pop to open, firm lock up with the frame lock. The blade came sharp only needed a strop to get it hair popping. The blade isn’t the sliciest though its quite thick behind the edge. This said it will be fine for 95 percent of daily tasks. It won't shine in food prep but would till work. I plan to buy several more to keep as gifting knives for holidays, birthdays, and the occasional person asking to borrow my blade. Never lend something you have to have back many times you won't get it back. So grab a few for gifts for knife people or newbs alike it works for either.

I was unable to open the knife with the thumb stud or even get the blade to start moving. My arthritic thumbs can open my other knives with thumb studs. The quality of of the knife is decent for the price. I returned it.
