I like this knife and ordered a 2nd one. Lock is strong enough and 10 times easier to clean, flip open/closed, and clean out than the majority of Cold Steel knives. Great handle grip and strong sharp blade. For $19.99 you cannot go wrong. Plus CRKT has a great warranty and customer service. It is a bit heavy but I like knives with some weight. I already wrote one 4 or 5 star positive review that KnifeCenter has not put up yet. So I will just say that this is easily worth $19.99. I ordered my second one. I do plan on ordering my third one soon. If you like small light folders please buy something different. This is big and has some weight. Which I prefer in a knife.

Excellent, rugged tool!
I’ve had lots of knives i’ve used and collected throughout the years, including a tour in Iraq as a young Marine, and realize that i don’t need something fancy and expensive for general utility tasks. I’m now in the Army and in a hunt for a deployment knife. As i was flipping through the pages of my Knives book, i came across the older version of this knife, the desert cruiser. It had pretty decent review and when i saw that this was still available at such a cheap price,i couldn’t pass it up. As soon as i held it in my hands, i knew this was it. The ergonomics is amazing! I removed the clip on mine because i plan to put it in a sheath. Yes, it’s a little on the heavy side, but it feels very solid. The knife steel is adequate. It’ll dull quicker than the more premium ones, but i know how to sharpen knives and it’s no big deal. Overall, i think this is now my new favorite folder. This is something i’m not afraid to beat on, and for the price, i can just get a couple more. Highly recommend it!

This knife is absolutely amazing for the price. Fits great in hand for larger hand sizes and feels solid and strong. The locking blade is a great addition for hard use. This knife if perfect for military, law enforcement or on the trails/ camping. I actually purchased this one (green) and the tan one because I liked them so much Highly recommend.

I purchasesd this item to replace an old Desert Cruiser that was damaged and worn. This is so slick opening it is amazing. The factory edge is RAZOR sharp! beware The price is unbelievable! When I shopped for it, I was expecting to pay $60 to $80, and this was only $22 and change with shipping! Considering purchasing several more for gifts. Great value and quality.

Definitely the nicest handle I've ever come across in a folder. Extremely comfortable, fits your hand like a glove, the texture makes it very grippy, and it's a big beefy handle so it's great for people with big hands or long fingers. You can get a really solid grip, and it has the manual blade safety, so it's a great knife for heavy cutting tasks that require a lot of force like cutting carpets & such. It comes with an extra pocket clip so you can carry tip up or down. On the con side it's pretty big & heavy... not my first choice for EDC. And the handle is more of a brown color than the tan color it looks like in the picture. And the thumb stud is pretty close to the handle making it a little hard to open that way, but it has a flipper also which works great so that makes up for it. The manual safety works well ... but I'd rather have the automatic safety like on some of Columbia's other knives. Overall a great heavy duty folder, the blade is very sharp.

Disappointing. Quickly broke.
Bought this on a lark, because the price seemed reasonable and it looked like it might be a useful size for my large hands. The knife lock broke due to an apparent design flaw after only a couple of days. The frame-lock crossed all the way across the blade and jammed. Prying it free again (tool required) only saw it continue to lock the knife open the same way, again and again. Cannot recommend. Please avoid and save yourself the frustration.
