Quirky Little Piece

Big heavy blade, little tiny flipper! Deployment is leisurely, but positive. Love the blade shape on this one. Reminds me of an orca for some reason. The Field Strip feature works as advertised, and blade centering is easy to adjust. The pocket clip is kind of small, but hasn't presented any issues so far. All is well so far! No complaints. We'll see how time tells, but I foresee no issues. Appears very well-built. My first Ken Onion design and I'm a fan. The wife saw it and was particularly taken by it (threatened to steal it!), as it's fairly unique-looking compared to the rest of my EDCs. If you're looking for a unique and well-built D2 design, you can't go wrong here.

A beautiful knife

This is a very pretty knife which is well made. At first, I couldn't figure out how to disassemble it, but a phone call to the company fixed that, and I felt really stupid. The only thing I am not thrilled with are the aluminum handles, but I knew that when I ordered it. It's a bit large for an EDC knife for me, but it is a knife I have no regrets buying.

Very nice CRKT

I have a few CRKT knives and they have been pretty good and when I seen how the Bonafide field stripped I thought it was pretty cool and it was just like I seen it done fast and simple and it came apart just like I seen and to put it back together was simple and fast and I am very pleased with the fit and finish and the workmanship is first class. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to fidget with their knife.

Solid knife, field strip works as advertised

I liked the idea of field strip, but the first gen was cumbersome. This is a great improvement. I had the opportunity to try it in a store and it popped apart easily in my hand (“I just broke your knife..”) and with limited fumbling, I got it back together again. I do not doubt the other reviewer’s difficulty, as the finish isn’t 100% on this unit (the field strip part works perfectly, but the flipper tab has a couple of REALLY sharp edges I need to smooth off), but I love this blade shape and length and the field strip v2 works as advertised. I don’t like linerlocks, but not sure what else would work with FS, so I live with it. D2 is nice, the edge is sharp: it’s about time CRKT started matching their interesting designs with better steel.

New Field Strip Technology not working

I bought this knife directly from CRKT. This was my first CRKT knife to add to my collection. I am very disappointed with the quality, the Field Strip lever was difficult to activate, impossible to do with my thumb and needed a tool to push it up. It was not nearly as easy as in the video. I contacted customer service who waned me to send in this new knife to be looked at, did not offer a replacement until I sent a second email. I am very disappointed with the quality to say the least and returned the knife for a refund. First and last purchase from CRKT. Don’t waste your money.
