It's beautiful, there's no denying it. It is quite small too but I am absolutely charmed by this pen knife. I had lots of these when I was a kid - ok, they didn't cost as much but then they didn't hold an edge like this does. You're probably not going to work the guts out of it but you could because that's S35VN in there and the handle is incredibly strong. I would term this an occasional knife, for those times when you really, really need a razor sharp, tough as hell blade but left your bowie at home. I spent all day with my brother in the warehouse last week cutting cardboard boxes open, just to see how it faired and it's still taking the hair off my arm and is still a thing of beauty. I don't know any one who would call me a gentleman but this knife makes me feel like one. Love it.
I have seen and used a lot of knives in my 75yrs but this is the best made, right size, best steel I have seen in a lifetime. Rating is on a "pocketknife" not any of other spin off categories. Can't imagine a 2 star rating. It's worth every penny! I bought another one before CPM35SN steel goes up! Engraved it for sons!
This knife is light years ahead of most anything in the market for under $75. - dry carbon fiber deep layered ( this is real no peel and ply carbon fiber here ) - adjustable pivot screws. Most slip joints are pinned in place and the pinned pivot will only wear out over time, not the Lucky it can be replaced/tightened/ adjusted - 2 blades one plain and one serrated in s35vn ( I got a newer one , phasing this in to replaces CTS-XHP) The fit and Finish are amazing on this knife. Seriously buy it.....it's art
Bought one a year ago, carried it for "dress up" times, and fits in a jeans "watch pocket." Bought four more, over time, as gifts to family and friends. The ultimate, classic pocket knife of olde, upgraded with excellent materials and Italian craftsmanship. Cuts way above its size.
High quality in every way including steel. I bought another one to collect and pass on to son. Don't know what happened to first reviewers knife but sounds like a different item all together. This is classy, compact and very sharp pocket knife. Best I've ever seen in size and quality with serrated blade an extra in my book. Also like the way they made the half way open notch firm but not difficult..
This knife is a little small but the fact that It is made by Cold Steel (One of the BEST Knife companies out There) and It has 2 different knife blades and It feels so good to hold in Your hand I am mad that lost Mine and will buy another One without any hesitation This knife is worth every Penny
Ok, I'm a Cold Steel fan. This knife is basically the anti-4Max, but I still love it.premium steel, super thin blades, carbon fiber, light and slim, great build quality. I'll probably remove the pocket clip because it's not deep carry and I really don't think something this size needs one. My only nitpick on this knife is that I could do without the billboarding on the blades - otherwise, this is a fantastic product!
Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Blade Material
Cons: Pocket Clip
I am disappointed
I bought this knife as an EDC, and I was interested because of the materials and its design. The knife came out of the box incredibly dull, although the serrated blade was serviceable I'll admit. The carbon fiber scales were absolutely riddled with voids. This wasn't my issue though as looks don't matter much to me. I can say that I'm not used to sharpening a high hardness stainless steel like CTS-XHP, but after about ten minutes I got it hair shaving sharp. My issue with the blade came the next day when I took it to work. I was excited to finally have a stainless knife that wouldn't dull immediately after a day of breaking down cardboard boxes, but alas my knife was somehow dull again before I even got to use it. I couldn't even break skin if I tried. I've resharpened it about 5 times to shaving hair but the results are the same each time. There is something seriously wrong with this knife and I'm starting to wonder if this is the reason Cold Steel switched to S35VN for the Lucky. It is sort of humorous considering its name, but I'm not laughing.
