4 stars fit and finish 6 stars strenght and cool factor

Good but not perfect fit and finish (a spyderco is typically better) but it does not affect the functionnality. This knife is a tank and it is so cool. Overall it is a very special knife and it feels like it

Awesome EDC

I carry this muti purpose knife because it performs several tasks exceptionally well. It is an incredible defensive weapon, excellent in the bushcraft field for light to medium battling and tinder/shavings, box cutting, envelope opening, skinning, food prep, and a host of other chores. It is very comfortable with my medium size hand. The blade tension is fully adjustable and as usual, the picket clip needs adjusting. A major benefit is that the owner of this beauty can easily contour this knife to his/her preference. I carry this one AND the clip point. They are like a Custom Shop Recon1.

A big knife

The knife is large, heavy, tight, good feel in the hand. Good fit, finish. Absolutely no complaints. This bad boy is going to last me a long time. Thank you, Cold Steel.

Nice design poor finish

I have a number of cold steel knives (4 max, lawman, ultimate Hunter, AK 47, recon). Like the triad lock and the newer blade materials. Not to thrilled with fit and finish. First cold steel had to take apart and regrind spine to make it level, regrind a crooked bevel, and round corner of locking bar (one corner at 90 deg other rounded). Also first cold steel to have the screw that holds the blade in work loose. Knife clip broke. Called to cold steel for replacement even offered to purchase new clip. Stated would send new clip. 4 weeks later and repeated calls, still no clip. Had to make a new one myself.
