Excellent Service
This Cold Steel Hand-&-a-Half sword exceeded my expectations. The finish & workmanship are excellent. It's sharp, & is a delight for cutting. Too often scabbards are just an after thought, but the one supplied with this sword fits properly & has a nice appearence. Though it was not in stock when I ordered it, Knife Center kept me advised of the status of my order & promptly shipped it as soon as it was available. The price was right & I was very pleased with their service.

The best sword EVER!
I bought this sword from my local dealer in early 2011, at first I was a little unsure about the "battle readiness" of the sword...that is untill I tested it out for myself. I was amazed by the overall quality of the sword and after hundreds of hours practicing my cutting techniques on tatami omote mats the blade is still razor sharp. The cold steel hand and a half sword is truely an historical sword that has been brought back to life by cold steel in their own unique style...what are you waiting for? buy it and see for yourself if you don't believe me.

Hand and a half sword
Beautiful Sword. Blade is sharp,fits nicely in scabbard,guard is tight. I know some people had some quality issues in the past but not on this sword. One thing, in Cold Steels video the handle appears to be about 9",the handle on mine is 12". I read the specs and they say 12. Fine because it counter balances better and gives greater leverage for harder cuts. For the money this is a GREAT sword.!!

An excellent sword for the money. Wicked sharp. Decent balance, if only slightly blade-heavy. Early models (maybe pre-08 or so) had some quality issues but CS seems to have dealt with that. Handles fairly well. It's not an Albion, but it isn't at Albion prices either. Cuts beautifully. Displays well too. Very impressive to let friends draw out and "feel"-- and learn that longswords weren't really as heavy and slow as they they believed.

Overrated
Pros- nicely balanced, comfortable handle Cons- absolutely no cutting edge, loose guard that rattles like crazy This was my second cold steel sword purchase, and it will be my last. Both seemed pretty cheap overall.
