Hand-And-A-Half Sword

We would be hard pressed to think of a more versatile or effective sword than the "Bastard" or "Hand-and-a-Half Sword" we offer here. For a sword of this size, it's amazingly light and fast and tips the scales at approximately 3 lbs. Its 33.50" long blade is quite wide so it can produce deep shearing type cuts yet pointed enough to be effective in a thrusting attack. Its long handle is suitable for both a one or two handed grip and is fashioned out of wood covered in black leather. To balance the long blade we have capped the butt with a beautiful "scent stopper" pommel which can be a lethal weapon in its own right.

Hand-And-A-Half Dagger (sold separately)

Scaled down in size and almost identical in appearance, it offers a 13" long blade designed to cut and thrust, yet be sturdy enough to stand in for a buckler in defensive roles.

Every Hand-and-a-Half Sword and companion dagger reflects the highest standards in workmanship and materials and comes fully sharpened and ready for battle. To safely house their keen blades we have also included very attractive scabbards made of wood covered with black leather with a steel throat and chape.

Hand and a half sword

Beautiful Sword. Blade is sharp,fits nicely in scabbard,guard is tight. I know some people had some quality issues in the past but not on this sword. One thing, in Cold Steels video the handle appears to be about 9",the handle on mine is 12". I read the specs and they say 12. Fine because it counter balances better and gives greater leverage for harder cuts. For the money this is a GREAT sword.!!

Pros- nicely balanced, comfortable handleCons- absolutely no cutting edge, loose guard that rattles like crazyThis was my second cold steel sword purchase, and it will be my last. Both seemed pretty cheap overall.

Excellent Service

This Cold Steel Hand-&-a-Half sword exceeded my expectations. The finish & workmanship are excellent. It's sharp, & is a delight for cutting. Too often scabbards are just an after thought, but the one supplied with this sword fits properly & has a nice appearence. Though it was not in stock when I ordered it, Knife Center kept me advised of the status of my order & promptly shipped it as soon as it was available. The price was right & I was very pleased with their service.
