Pros: Finish, Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Materials
Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
This is unquestionably a good looking Bowie knife. The evenly soft and grippy stacked leather handle, along with the matching patterned sheath, serve to accentuate the aggressively shaped, mirror polished blade and brushed brass fittings. The sharpening spike adds some extra flair as well, although it functions as a poor sharpener. This is unfortunate, since the blade needs a fair amount of sharpening out of the box, particularly near the tip. Despite the secondary bevel, this Bowie just doesn't have quite the right edge geometry to be a truly effective cutting tool. It will do in a pinch, and it is quite lovely to look at. It's far from all bad, but not quite all good either.
