The knife looks beautiful but it’s not very sharp and it is really hard to sharpen it. The sheath is poorly done.

Featuring the improved crocodile skin pattern, sharpening spike and bone decorations, the newly designed heavy leather sheath is also a perfect match for the Outback's distinctive styling.
It's not all about being a mini-Outback, though - if you can call an 12.5" knife mini-anything, that is. The Walkabout is easily one of the most utilitarian, no-nonsense hunting / general purpose knives out there, and the classic looks and all natural materials are sure to appeal to all outdoorsmen, collectors and anyone just looking for a damn fine bowie that does exactly what it's supposed to. Down Under has been regularly asked to produce something like this for years now, but have chosen to take the time and get it right rather than just scale down the existing design. This is a knife that will stand on its own merit and happily go toe to toe with anything in its size class.

Nice looking
This is unquestionably a good looking Bowie knife. The evenly soft and grippy stacked leather handle, along with the matching patterned sheath, serve to accentuate the aggressively shaped, mirror polished blade and brushed brass fittings. The sharpening spike adds some extra flair as well, although it functions as a poor sharpener. This is unfortunate, since the blade needs a fair amount of sharpening out of the box, particularly near the tip. Despite the secondary bevel, this Bowie just doesn't have quite the right edge geometry to be a truly effective cutting tool.It will do in a pinch, and it is quite lovely to look at. It's far from all bad, but not quite all good either.

Perfect bowie
This knife is awesome it comes sharp and stays sharp has a good sharpener that comes with it have used it's for a multitude of different tasks from chopping small limbs and carving to skinning game and processing food. Its a great looking knife beautiful handle and polished blade the sheath is quality leather.... Overall u can't find a better bowie for the price I would have paid $100 more for this knife and still be satisfied with my purchase
