Perfect size and weight ratio
This is my third survival/bushcraft knife in addition to my Esee 4 and Tops Operator 7. The medium size is exactly in between the two. The SOFMAC has an angled ridge on the backside of the blade so its not as thick up to the back edge of the knife but only for 1/4" (due to this design you could actually make the backside a sharp edge from the tip to the serations if you are skilled and inclined to do so) Other than that it matches the Esee 4 very closely in thickness including the tang. The Operator 7 is the thickest and heaviest of the three but the SOFMAC has the best blade edge of the three imo including the serated areas. This knife can be used left or right handed serations included. The SOFMAC handle and grip outdoes any knife i own. I have medium sized hands but i think it would accomodate smaller or larger hands. The included hard case has molle and belt carry acessories. I did both with it and its the perfect size knife for either option. This knife just looks so badazz ! Ive been testing it out carving a piece rectangular hardwood alongside the Esee and Tops. The performances in that aspect are pretty equal, although the SOFMAC does not have a choil like the other two. I highly recommend this knife and Halfbreed Blades.
