Halfbreed Blades

In partnership with Halfbreed Blades and Joseph Teti – a former Force Recon Marine, Army Special Forces “Green Beret,” and former operative with the CIA’s Special Activities Division/Special Operations Group (SAD/SOG) - the MIK-04 SOFMAK, is set for a worldwide debut in 2025.

The SOFMAK (Special Operations Forces Multi-Purpose Assault Knife) is designed for use by SOF units. Understanding the challenging missions and harsh environments our elite warriors face, the SOFMAK is crafted to exacting standards worthy of our nation’s finest.

As a versatile tool, the SOFMAK features two working edges. The primary edge is tailored for dynamic use, with serrations at the base of the blade for powerful cutting during slashing movements. The 5.31" blade ensures optimal penetration, while the spine’s working edge is perfect for everyday tasks like cutting 550 cord, opening boxes, and making tinder for a fire. This secondary edge allows the primary edge to stay razor-sharp.

The SOFMAK sheath offers multiple mounting options, including horizontal and vertical carry on a belt and MOLLE compatibility for attachment to a plate carrier or aligned equipment. Hewn from a solid slab of premium Bohler K340 tool steel and fortified with a PVD coating, the SOFMAK boasts exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion.

  • Injection molded PALS/MOLLE compatible sheath. Each sheath is precision molded for secure retention and easy maintenance. All MIK-04 SOFMAK sheaths are PALS/MOLLE compatible and come supplied with two primary attachment options, including Belt & PALS/MOLLE.
  • To complete the package, the MIK-04 SOFMAK is presented in the signature foam-lined presentation case complete with warranty statement, certificate of authenticity, specifications card, morale patch, and vinyl logo sticker.

Perfect size and weight ratio
This is my third survival/bushcraft knife in addition to my Esee 4 and Tops Operator 7. The medium size is exactly in between the two. The SOFMAC has an angled ridge on the backside of the blade so its not as thick up to the back edge of the knife but only for 1/4" (due to this design you could actually make the backside a sharp edge from the tip to the serations if you are skilled and inclined to do so) Other than that it matches the Esee 4 very closely in thickness including the tang. The Operator 7 is the thickest and heaviest of the three but the SOFMAC has the best blade edge of the three imo including the serated areas. This knife can be used left or right handed serations included. The SOFMAC handle and grip outdoes any knife i own. I have medium sized hands but i think it would accomodate smaller or larger hands. The included hard case has molle and belt carry acessories. I did both with it and its the perfect size knife for either option. This knife just looks so badazz ! Ive been testing it out carving a piece rectangular hardwood alongside the Esee and Tops. The performances in that aspect are pretty equal, although the SOFMAC does not have a choil like the other two. I highly recommend this knife and Halfbreed Blades.
