❤️ Blurs

It’s in my EDC rotation, cut anything you use a knife for. Blade is sharp, excellent steel, opens nicely, good feel in your hand. The handle inserts are rougher than slick handles, good most of the time, but can be bothersome according to where you carry it or which pants you have on. I use it always when hunting to dress deer. I’ve had a Blur for years with s30v steel like it greatly. Magnacut is supposed to be better, can’t tell much difference yet. Love all my US made Kershaw knives. I knew what I was getting into before I purchased it. Any other US made knife would be twice the price. Can’t beat Kershaw for the price in my opinion. And you used to could take my opinion and a dime and get a cup of coffee. Now you can take my opinion and 7 bucks and get a nice coffee. And don’t take the old adage, things are not made as well as they used to be, they are. Again my opinion which is worthless to you.

Still one of the best

Bought this for my father after he lost his old Kershaw spring assisted knife he had carried for many years. He is 75 and the assist feature is less of a novelty and more of a necessity for him to get the knife deployed nowadays. Razor sharp out of the box. The knife looks great, the quality is there and the Magnacut steel is nice addition to a proven classic. A deep carry clip from Kershaw would be nice but aftermarket replacements are cheap enough and readily available.

Blur needs a deep carry clip

I purchased the blue with magnacut and Damascus steel. I've owned three other Blur's in various steel. The Magnacut by far gives the S30v stif competition but is superior in toughness and ease of sharpening. The Damascus steel is handsome and decorative but a soft steel that does not retain an edge well. I have always enjoyed Kershaw's speed safe assisted opening with the smooth action. The handle inlay of rough skateboard like feel is not pocket friendly. The only negative I have for Kershaw is the carry clip; it needs to be a deep carry clip. I replaced both mine to the LynchNW Lynch Northwest Kershaw Leek/Blur Bead Blasted Deep Carry Titanium Pocket Clip - CL-KER-LK-BB. With this upgrade it's much better

Kershaw Blur MagnaCut Blade

I purchased this after seeing a YouTube video. The blade is MagnaCut and came very sharp out of the box. The spring assisted thumb stud opens very snappy. It caught me by surprise the first time I tried it. This goes into my EDC rotation and I’m pleased to have it. As always, the purchase process was great. The Knife Center is my first choice for anything knife related. By the way, one reviewer said the scales were rough and could damage the pocket. I did not find that to be the case.

Slightly disappointed

I always wanted this knife in my collection because I like its aesthetics and I still do. When I learned about the MagnaCut version I bought it right away. I ignored all reviews about the rough handle inlays, thinking -- no way they are that bad. Well, they are. The inlays are tearing my jeans pockets apart. I removed the pocket clip from the knife because there is no way to use it without damaging the pockets. Another minor concern is that the liner lock bites into the blade pivot in the open position. It requires significant force to disengage and it does that with an unpleasant clicking sound. On the other hand, the knife looks great, is very comfortable, the assisted mechanism is smooth and very satisfying, and the blade is very sharp out of the box.
