Description

KS1670NBMAG: 1670NBMAG Blue Blur, MagnaCut Blade

Kershaw Knives

Like all Blurs, the 1670NBMAG is equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that's ideal for multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities. This Blur comes with a high-quality CPM-MagnaCut blade that is attractive as it is functional.

The handle is built of durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, which is sometimes described as "aircraft aluminum" since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. It's lightweight, extremely durable, and anodizes well so Kershaw can create colored handles that are scratch-resistant and extra tough. Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts provide an extra-secure grip. The Blur's inset liner lock ensures secure blade lock up during use.

For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A short push on the thumb stud overcomes the resistance built into the torsion bar in the SpeedSafe mechanism. Then SpeedSafe takes over and the blade moves out of the handle quickly and easily. The pocket clip is reversible for your choice of tip-up or tip-down carry. There's even a pre-drilled lanyard hole.

Features

  • SpeedSafe - Assists you to open any SpeedSafe knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumb stud or pull back on the flipper, built into many Kershaw best sellers.
  • Liner Lock - Locks the blade during use; one side of the knife's steel "liner," the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife is carried.
  • Made in The USA - When you see this on one of Kershaw's knives, it means the knife was made in their Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.

Still one of the best
Bought this for my father after he lost his old Kershaw spring assisted knife he had carried for many years. He is 75 and the assist feature is less of a novelty and more of a necessity for him to get the knife deployed nowadays. Razor sharp out of the box. The knife looks great, the quality is there and the Magnacut steel is nice addition to a proven classic. A deep carry clip from Kershaw would be nice but aftermarket replacements are cheap enough and readily available.

❤️ Blurs
It’s in my EDC rotation, cut anything you use a knife for. Blade is sharp, excellent steel, opens nicely, good feel in your hand. The handle inserts are rougher than slick handles, good most of the time, but can be bothersome according to where you carry it or which pants you have on. I use it always when hunting to dress deer. I’ve had a Blur for years with s30v steel like it greatly. Magnacut is supposed to be better, can’t tell much difference yet. Love all my US made Kershaw knives. I knew what I was getting into before I purchased it. Any other US made knife would be twice the price. Can’t beat Kershaw for the price in my opinion. And you used to could take my opinion and a dime and get a cup of coffee. Now you can take my opinion and 7 bucks and get a nice coffee. And don’t take the old adage, things are not made as well as they used to be, they are. Again my opinion which is worthless to you.

Kershaw Blur MagnaCut Blade
I purchased this after seeing a YouTube video. The blade is MagnaCut and came very sharp out of the box. The spring assisted thumb stud opens very snappy. It caught me by surprise the first time I tried it. This goes into my EDC rotation and I’m pleased to have it. As always, the purchase process was great. The Knife Center is my first choice for anything knife related. By the way, one reviewer said the scales were rough and could damage the pocket. I did not find that to be the case.
