Great EDC knife

I use this as my EDC knife as it's sharp out of the box and very substantial. It was a little rough opening it but I was able to loosen it up but it's a slow opener which great. I'm pleased with this knife.

This is a solid knife

Factory ad is actually pretty decent. Just needs a little polishing and it's ready to go to work. The look and feel is very solid. There is no wiggle to the blade and the D2 steel should hold the edge well for a while

A Great EDC Choice

The Kershaw Payout is everything you want from an EDC knife. It's built like a tank, looks great, has a nice blade size and geometry and the spring assist makes deployment so smooth and fast. And the ergos of the handle make this knife exceptionally comfortable to hold. The very reasonable price makes this a great choice for a dependable hard use knife.

Beautiful ergonomics at an affordable price

Kershaw's Payout has some nice lines with a unique profile. Has a great feel in hand and is lightning fast with its assisted flipper. The copper-red accents really set the payout out to be a real eye turner.

One of my favorites!

This knife has quickly become one of my favorites. The action is beautifully smooth and wickedly fast, and provides enough tension when closing it to make you feel like there's something solid there. The lock is strong, and the handle fits extremely well in my hand (but I've got big paws, so mileage will vary). The black and copper accents are gorgeous, and makes the knife really pop. The best part of the knife, though, has got to be the blade. What an awesome blade profile! It's sleek, efficient, and superbly well-designed. There is really nothing to dislike about this folder.

Outstanding Design and Quality Components

Saw it at Shot Show 2020 and immediately felt in love. DESIGN!: 1. My favorite Spear Point / Drop Point. Unique harpoon like cut in the spine! 2. Handle is just outstanding. Not too Sci-Fi. Reminds me of a flint pistol! 3. Anodized pivot accents in copper color look great. 4. Perfect Tip Up deep carry pocket clip with convenient lanyard hole near it. I've made an account on knifecenter specifically for this knife! Because of its newness in the market and the fact that I live in Poland I was importing this piece overseas! I just had to get one as soon as possible. :) And man the knife lives to the expectations! Use Overview: I've got it in March, ve'been using it for half a year now. Knife easily delivers, any task is not a problem for it, from cutting carton, sharpening sticks to carving some branches. Perfect blade size, looks intimidating and works that way as well, fast assisted flipper action makes quite a view. Perfect knife in size, to carry everyday. Its pleasant to use, pleasant to look at, pleasant to keep in a pocket. Action is really great. Just feels good. haha Blade made out of good steel, D2, easy to sharpen, tho blade maintains edge very long. Steel handle with like 30% of G10. I found myself frequently holding it at that exact portion of G10 for extra 'reach' and slicing capabilities for some heavier tasks. It just felt natural to do so with the way the handle is shaped. I would love to see more from Kershaw, their outstanding designs and improved quality every year is mouthwatering for the bargain price their knives are coming. Lovely product. One CON I have to say: is that the frame lock, when its engaged, leaves a sharp portion of handle on top - its like a small pointy end of the design under the larger copper part. A couple of times it left an imprint on my pointing finger haha. Other than that its very pleasant, machining done on the knife is excellent, every other edge is beveled and nice to the touch :)

Great Value EDC

This is my main EDC now. I use it daily cutting a variety of materials. Plastic banding on pallets, cardboard, up to 1/2" rope of various material, plastic, etc. I have other knives with the same steel that hold an edge great but this one is exceptional. It has held it's edge as well as any knife I own which includes high end supersteels (S110V, S20V, S35VN, etc.). The blade profile is very good. Narrow enough not to bind when cutting thicker materials but still very strong. Flicks open very smoothly every time. Lock has held up to all the abuse I have put it through with hardly any issues. For the money this is an excellent buy.
