Great Fillet Knife

I was looking for a folding fillet knife to keep in my fishing bag for streamside filleting of smallmouth bass in the 12"-18" range. This knife id PERFECT for my type of fishing. I will be ordering more for friends/relatives.

Did the trick

I just used the Fish & Bone to fillet a meal's worth of sunfish, and it worked like a charm. Tip of the knife is perfect for those initial cuts along the backbone, and I even skinned the small fillets with ease and without waste. Blade is flexible enough to get that done, but not too flexible where it feels fragile. I personally find it easier to work with a firmer blade anyway. Not sure how it would fair on bigger fish, but for panfish it was perfect. All it took was a quick touch-up afterwards on a ceramic stone, and it was back to its initial sharpness. For a folding fillet knife, it's a good deal.

Fisherman's Friend

A lot of bang for the buck. A folding fillet knife, sufficiently flexible blade, but not "wimpy." The steel is not "over the top" but holds an edge well. Best feature is the comfortable non-slip handle which includes a pocket clip.
