Excellent Blade for Town and Country
My wife and I recently started camping and I had only two leathermans and a kabar at the time. Leathermans worked well for basic tasks and so did the Kabar but I wanted something more task specific and can be used for almost any task. The ESEE-4 fits the bill! Nice heft to it and the weight is balanced to right before the hilt. Super sharp out of the box. The only thing I do not like is the sheathe clip. Even with a Hanks 1.5” belt it still tends to have some shifting of the sheathe on the belt. The sheathe is tightly fitting to the ESEE-4 and it has drainage holes which can help if caught out in the rain. Just be sure to keep it oiled and dry and touch the edge up after doing a few tasks at camp or bushcrafting. It holds an edge well but best keep it sharp!
