Assist not really necessary
Carries deep and flat. Good, sharp blade. Weighs in at 74 gr. Surprisingly good in hand, but since it is thin steel all around, it might not be the best for prolonged use. Lockup seems solid with no play in the blade. The "assist" part is far from smooth. I think this is partly from a lack of polish where the back of the blade meets the lock. Been working the knife a little and it seems better now. Would be nice if SOG made a version without the spring and just a nail notch instead of thumblers. It would be lighter and without the "assist" which seems the weakest point of the design.

Basically like the knife . It is very lightweight good construction .It does not open as easily as I expected , it doesn't always open all the way unless you really push hard , I guess I was expecting it to open all the way by itself. All in all it is the slimest lightest knife I own you hardley feel it in your pocket .

It's a Sog ???
I have several Sog's. All of them have blade movement problems, except this one ( Slim Jim ). At first I liked this knife, now I don't. The blade will not stay closed... if you put it in your pocket it comes open and cuts into the pocket. It happened twice to me and now I will not touch this knife. Too bad because other than that it is a very good knife. The blade is great. I'm going to stick to Benchmade and forget about the Sog's.

Not a Fan
Just didn't like the feel of it and the deployment was awkward at best.
