Love it. New favorite

I had been using pakka dragonfly and loved that little knife. This Chaparral is even better. Just a little bigger but fits my hand more comfortably. Excellent steel. Highly recommend it

Gift for my Father

I bought this knife for my Father for Father's Day 2021. He's in his late 50's and previously only had ever had lower end models of Case knives, and other inexpensive slip joints or lock backs. He's really enjoyed it and uses it frequently. The spider-hole opening style is very intuitive and the pocket clip is not intrusive. The very thin, slicey profile is a big plus too as he isn't practiced in sharpening his own knives.

Love it!

This is my 3rd Spyderco and my first from Taichung. Fit and finish is flawless! I've read several reviews of other knives from this factory having some sharp edges around the spydie hole, etc but that is not the case on my knife. Blade came centered and sharp and I got very nicely figured birdseye scales. I ordered the Chaparral specifically for it's thin slicey blade and it does not disappoint. The back lock is a bit more firm than on my Dragonfly but it feels better already after about a week of daily carry. Overall very happy with my purchase, now if only Spyderco would make a Chaparral with the compression lock.

Exceeds My Expectations

First Spyderco I've bought. It exceeded all my expectations. The wood handle is beautiful. It opens with a great sense of mechanical solidity. Fit and finish was perfect. I now see why so many people like Spyderco knives.
