Best para 3 lw so far

I have owned and carried many Spydercos with many blade steels and this one is going to knock my s90v teal para 3 lw out of the daily carry top spot. I have used 15v before and it's one of my favorite steels. Tougher than Maxamet but with similar edge holding at least in my experience your data may vary. Sure you could get a Rex121 sage lw and have even more edge holding but for an edc blade I'll take the additional toughness of 15v all day long. One con is Spyderco could do better on the lock stick issue. Happens on these lightweights with compression lock all the time. I take them apart and with a slight flex and some fine sandpaper it locks up tight but no lock stick. The knife is still a gem and awesome steel on this sprint run just know you're not getting Reate smoothness. Also if you're new to these they ride on one washer the other side is a raised piece of the handle material. Now for 99 bucks you can get a nice set of Ti handle scales at awt. I've got an pair and they're awesome. You will need a set of washers if you Get the scales. All things considered imo this is the best para 3 lw yet

Favorite Spyderco

This thing feels great in the hand and the blade performance is magical. The lock takes a little getting used to but it's solid.

Awesome

Best knife you could ask for in design and use. 15v is the best steel I have come across yet and I have alot of different steels. Combine this with the perfect size for a pocket knife, ease of sharpening (with a diamond stone) and unparalleled edge retention. I am yet to be disappointed by a Para 3 and this looks to continue the trend and go beyond!

Great Knife - You need one!

This version of the Para 3 lightweight would be on my short list of the best knives for every day carry. It came hair shaving sharp and the lightweight scales fit the hand perfectly. The brown scales and stonewashed blade are a great combination. This is quickly becoming one of my favorites. If you are looking at this one and debating whether or not you really need another knife, get this one and you will be glad you did.
