Very Nice for a Small Knife

I'm a big fan of the larger Spyderco knives; Manix 2, Military 2, Stretch 2 XL, and PM2. I'm also like CPM-15V steel. I picked up this Lil' Native because it was on sale, and I don't have a suitable small knife. This one is a nice--very well made.

Great 5th pocket knife

Great for carrying in a 5th pocket in jeans. Super slicey and form fitting to your hand, with the finger choir feels like a much bigger knife. Definitely note that 15v can patina fast.

Adorable and practical EDC

This adorable little knife is surprisingly easy to use thanks to the 50:50 choil and great ergonomics. The coyote brown G10 and stonewashed blade elevate the appearance. The choil and spine have no jimping, and the Sypdie hole and spine have a nice smooth feel, for a very comfortable feeling in the hand. The thick square edged scales provide a secure grip, with a nice wide flat spot for your thumb. It's also easy to grip with your index finger on the spine for draw cuts. Opening and closing the knife one handed is both easy and satisfying. There's no Boye dent, but the wide back lock is still easy to find by feel. The knife takes very little room in your pocket, and the smooth back makes it easy to slide your hand past it. The blade came nice and sharp out of the box, with a consistent bevel on both sides. Cons: - The pocket clip is oddly large for such a small knife. This is one of the reasons the grip is so comfortable, but it looks a bit odd. - The clip pressing against the peel ply texture creates a lot of friction, making it difficult to get in and out of your pocket. - While the Spydie hole is entirely exposed on both sides, the scales don't have chamfered edges, so thumb access is just okay. - I wish there were more aftermarket scales, but most Lil' Native scales are for compression lock or LW versions. Personal tweaks I'm considering: - Sand the G10 scales and/or bend pocket clip to reduce pocket clip friction. - Add chamfered edges to scales around thumb hole to improve access. - Bend back lock spring to make it a bit easier to press.

Spyderco Sprint Run 15v Lil’ Native

The 15v blade steel is amazing. The edge lasts twice as long as the edge on my S30v Back-lock Lil’Native. The back-lock version is by far the best of the bunch. The fit and finish is darn near perfect with the lock bar flush when both open and closed. The blade is centered when closed. I have no complaints with the knife.

Big lil knife

This is a wonderful little knife with a very strong lock up and solid feel. The size makes it an ideal utility knife for small tasks. The ergonomics are great and make it a pleasure to use. The satisfying click of the action adds a nice fidget factor as well.
