Best 5th Pocket

It’s my go to edc 5th pocket knife Small and Light enough that you don’t know it’s there until you need it but once open and in your hand it feels bigger and capable of just about any everyday tasks I’d of it…Opening mail, packages, cardboard or plastic. Cutting rope, string, twine etc…Fruit to sticks…. The Knife Center only sells the real deal so you can be confident that’s 100% Spyderco.. I got stuck with a counterfeit off eBay a while back and it wasn’t worth saving the coin…

New blade

This is the first time I bought a Spyderco with spy27 steel. So I can't rate the steel yet, it cuts excellent )) In general, I like small knives, they are quite enough for my daily needs. And most importantly, Spyderco is my favorite brand. I would like a Dragonfly with magnacut steel )

Spyderco Dragonfly 2

This is one of the best smaller knives ever made. I have a few other smaller knives like the Pilar. The flat grind and thin blade on the Dragonfly 2 slice much easier. Gripping the front finger coil gives even big hands a firm grip on the knife. This is probably an excellent knife for women's slacks with their tiny pockets. If automobiles and other products were made with the same quality as Spyderco knives there would be a lot of happy people.

Tiny but tough

I just received my Dragonfly 2 today. I couldn’t stop laughing when I opened it. I have wanted a Dragonfly 2 for a long time to see what the hype was about. After watching a ridiculous amount of YouTube videos, not one got across how teeny tiny this thing is. I had to look at the badging to make sure they hadn’t sent a Manbug or Ladybug by mistake. Lol It’s not much bigger than a lip balm when the knife is closed. I’m glad it was on sale, because $99 is way overpriced, even with expected Spyderco quality. It’s hard to open and close, but lockbacks just are. I have to use both hands because of my arthritis. The FRN is fine, but the pocket clip is too tight and hard to use. I needed something portable for light use, and this fits the bill. It fits perfectly in my belt bag, and will disappear in any pocket. It will be used to open mail, and unexpected things that come up. Ergonomics are not the greatest, and you have to use the finger choil and thumb ramp, or your forefinger and middle finger get mashed together. It was between this and the Lil’ Native LW which I now know is the superior choice. It’s better ergonomically, and a way bigger bang for the buck. (Not as good steel though) The Dfly came sharp as a new razor blade, and cuts like a maniac! I think the SPY 27 steel will be amazing. Bottom line, if you have money to blow, get one. Don’t even consider the Manbug or Ladybug. I’m glad I gave them a hard pass. If you want something small, but more substantial, go Lil’ Native LW. It was worth the 86 bucks for the Dfly just from the amount of laughs it gives me! 😄 Next knife will be bigger, (much) but this is exactly what I need for right now.

Excellent small knife

I read a lot of reviews about the Spyderco Dragonfly 2, most of which were positive. It was between this or the Li’l Native LW lockback. I wanted Spy 27 steel, and as light as possible to carry in my belt-bag. The ergonomics aren’t great unless you use the thumb ramp and finger choil. I don’t care for the curved part of the handle, but it’s ok. It’s very small, so I find the pocket clip unnecessary, as it is extremely tight and not useful. It is SO sharp, it starts to cut the instant it touches something. Seki-City is hit and miss on sharpening, but this one is great. The locking mechanism is hard to press, and the knife is very stiff, which will hopefully loosen with use. It is also very difficult to open one handed due to its small size. This will be getting light use such as opening mail, and everyday tasks. Any big tasks would benefit from a larger knife. This one stashes away discreetly until you need it, so it’s very convenient. It’s perfect for a woman to put in a small jeans pocket, or throw in a purse or bag. I recommend this for light use and pocketability, but just know its limitations. Even on sale its on the pricey side, so if budget is a concern, you might want to go a little bigger for more versatility. If Spyderco comes out with a L’il Native LW lockback in Spy 27, that would be the a better choice, in my opinion.
