Excellent small knife
I read a lot of reviews about the Spyderco Dragonfly 2, most of which were positive. It was between this or the Li’l Native LW lockback. I wanted Spy 27 steel, and as light as possible to carry in my belt-bag. The ergonomics aren’t great unless you use the thumb ramp and finger choil. I don’t care for the curved part of the handle, but it’s ok. It’s very small, so I find the pocket clip unnecessary, as it is extremely tight and not useful. It is SO sharp, it starts to cut the instant it touches something. Seki-City is hit and miss on sharpening, but this one is great. The locking mechanism is hard to press, and the knife is very stiff, which will hopefully loosen with use. It is also very difficult to open one handed due to its small size. This will be getting light use such as opening mail, and everyday tasks. Any big tasks would benefit from a larger knife. This one stashes away discreetly until you need it, so it’s very convenient. It’s perfect for a woman to put in a small jeans pocket, or throw in a purse or bag. I recommend this for light use and pocketability, but just know its limitations. Even on sale its on the pricey side, so if budget is a concern, you might want to go a little bigger for more versatility. If Spyderco comes out with a L’il Native LW lockback in Spy 27, that would be the a better choice, in my opinion.
