Sanmai with Hamon, Beautiful sturdy knife.
I'm a big fan of composite blades. This sanmai blade is well constructed, with a nice hamon. The three layers are properly placed so the cutting middle layer is well centered. The nice itself is well balanced. It has beautiful scales, is lightweight and has good action. The bearing is a little noisy, but everything else seems perfect. Scales are beautiful and have just enough texture for a good grip. The folded steel axis lock housing is strong and extends about 30% down the scales. Seems very sturdy. I would really like to know what metals were used on the blade.
