What blade steel and blade shape does the Bestech Nyxie have?
The Bestech Nyxie features a 3.43-inch blade crafted from CPM-S35VN stainless steel, with select premium variants featuring Damasteel. Its utilitarian reverse tanto blade shape blends sheepsfoot versatility with a reinforced tip, crowned spine, and high flat grind for balanced slicing efficiency.
Who designed the Bestech Nyxie?
The Nyxie was designed in collaboration between Bestech Knives and Todd Knife and Tool. Known for distinctive utilitarian folders, the design team prioritized functional cutting geometry and hand safety over pure ornament.
How does the Bestech Nyxie open and lock?
The Nyxie deploys via a front flipper tab or by reverse-flicking the blade cutout, riding smoothly on ceramic ball bearings. An integrated titanium frame lock secures the blade solidly in the open position.
What handle options are available on the Bestech Nyxie?
The Nyxie series offers full titanium handles as well as titanium frames fitted with carbon fiber inlays. Finishes include gray and black titanium options, with top-tier Damasteel models upgraded with a vibrant Timascus pocket clip.
How are the ergonomics and grip on the Nyxie?
The Nyxie handle provides roughly a three-and-a-half finger grip that expands to a full hold when using the dedicated forward finger choil. The cutting edge terminates just short of the choil, providing a built-in safety margin so your finger does not contact the sharpened edge when choking up.
