Bestech Step Fixed Blades FAQ

Designed by Denis Simonutti and manufactured by Bestech Knives, the Step BFK06 series offers a compact, tactically inspired fixed blade built for everyday utility. Combining robust materials with clever ergonomics, this series is highly capable in both outdoor and urban environments.

What steel and blade shape does the Bestech Step use?
The Bestech Step series features a 3.19-inch upswept tanto blade made from D2 tool steel. This combination provides excellent toughness and solid edge retention, making it well-suited for both heavy utility work and tactical applications.
How does the Bestech Step handle feel in the hand?
The handle of the Bestech Step is designed to accommodate a full four-finger grip, with the pinky finger resting at the peak near the end of the handle. To prevent hot spots during use, the spine of the blade and the outer edges of the handle scales are fully crowned. The scales are made of milled G10 or canvas Micarta, providing a textured grip, though they do not include a lanyard attachment point.
What sheath and carry options come with the Bestech Step?
The Bestech Step comes with a molded Kydex sheath. While it does not ship with a pre-installed belt attachment, the hole spacing is compatible with a large Tech-Lock or standard pocket clips, enabling easy setup for both vertical and horizontal carry.
What is the unique handle cutout on the Bestech Step?
The Bestech Step features a distinctive cutout on the handle scale near the ricasso. This cutout visually extends the lines of the blade, making it look slightly longer and more balanced without adding any physical length to the knife.
What is the Bestech Step fixed blade designed for?
The Bestech Step is a versatile, tactically-inspired fixed blade designed primarily for everyday carry and utility tasks. The upswept tanto blade excels at piercing and slicing, making it highly effective for everything from opening packages to outdoor chores.
