Kizer Cutlery Polaris

The Kizer Polaris series offers a choice between 1095 carbon steel and AEB-L stainless steel. 1095 is a traditional outdoor choice known for its toughness and ease of sharpening, while AEB-L is a stainless steel with a fine grain structure that provides exceptional toughness and takes a very keen edge.

The series includes options for a traditional Scandi grind and a Yakut-inspired chisel grind. The Scandi grind excels at woodwork and carving, while the chisel ground versions feature unique milled divots on one side of the blade to mimic Siberian indigenous designs, offering a specialized geometry for slicing and processing materials.

The Kizer Polaris includes specific survival features such as a bow drill bearing block integrated into the handle hardware and a protruding tang crisp enough to strike a fire steel. These utility features, combined with its ergonomic handle swells, make it a dedicated tool for bushcraft knives and primitive camping tasks.

The Polaris features G10 handles, often with Micarta inlays, shaped with ergonomic swells to prevent hand fatigue during long periods of use. The handle also includes thumb gimping for heavy pressure and fingertip gimping for precision control during detailed slicing tasks.

Every knife in the Polaris series comes with a Kydex sheath that features a built-in diamond sharpener on the spine side for field maintenance. The sheath uses a multi-position attachment system, allowing for various carry heights and angles on a belt or gear.
