The Bombur series features a 3.53-inch blade made from D2 tool steel. D2 delivers solid edge retention for everyday work, and the blade's heavy stock provides the strength required for tough cutting jobs.
How thick is the blade on the Tenable Bombur?
The blade is approximately 5 millimeters thick (just under 0.20 inches). Rather than a full flat grind, it features a saber-height flat grind that leaves plenty of steel along the spine for heavy-duty durability.

The Bombur opens manually using either the machined blade cutout or the central fuller groove. The deep fuller provides excellent traction for standard slow-roll thumb opening or middle-finger reverse flicks.
