What blade steel and shape does the Zonda use?
The WE Zonda series features a 4.05-inch blade made from CPM-20CV stainless steel, known for its exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance. The blade is ground into a harpoon-style clip point with a high flat grind and a crowned spine for a refined, premium feel.
How is the handle of the WE Zonda constructed?
The handle uses a titanium frame lock construction with a unique dual-layer inlay system. Most models feature carbon fiber inlays layered over titanium inserts, which are visible through cutouts in the carbon fiber for added visual depth. Depending on the variant, these inlays may include twill, marble, or copper foil carbon fiber paired with flamed or anodized titanium.
Is the Zonda easy to carry for its size?
Yes, the Zonda is remarkably easy to carry because of extensive internal milling that reduces its weight to approximately 4.12 ounces. This results in a nearly 1-to-1 ratio of blade length to weight, making a large four-inch folding knife feel much lighter and more agile in the hand than its dimensions suggest.
