The Rosewood Barlow is part of the vintage 4th Generation Series. The blade is made from high carbon stainless steel. Handles are made from the classic and smooth rosewood. Each of these handcrafted knives is made with old-world techniques with the best modern materials to create tools to fit today's most demanding tasks

While some companies only assemble parts brought from various suppliers and put their names on the product, they do everything in-house from building their own blanking dies to heat treating, grinding and assembly, and hand finishing their products. This 2180 is my favorite slipjoint. I own 6. 2 smooth bone, 2 bone stag, a rosewood and a Halloween exclusive. Such a great knife. So great to still be able to get an American made knife at a realistic price. Unfortunately other American makers charge astronomical prices. Bear & Son are amazing quality, and in my opinion they care about their customers and country. Forever a fan Bear &Sons!
