Growing up with a father who was a Navy veteran and who owned a hardware store I was taught carrying a pocketknife everyday was a must. I've been collecting knives for many years and as a retired military guy my tastes run towards tactical type blades but I do like a nice classic folder too. When this Bear & Son knife popped up in a Knifecenter email and I saw the price I figured it had to be an Asian import. When I saw it was made in Alabama I took a closer look and was impressed enough to order one. The build quality is superb, the materials and finish are fantastic, and it comes with a nicely crafted leather belt sheath as a bonus (but it has a pocket clip if you prefer). The fact that it's currently on sale for $79 makes this knife a tremendous deal. I'm sure it will come in handy on a regular basis taking care of chores on my ranch.
