Fantastic piece! The action is drop shut out of the box with almost no break in period. The grind are even, the blade is very well rounded (it's usefulness), the carbon fiber is unlike ANY production companies. The ergonomics are wonderful in all grips (even though the handles are thin, they are really great - that can't be understated) and the lock up is very robust. There are lemons in everything, but this certainly isn't one of them!
I purchased the Mini Bugout first based upon how I hope it would perform and second on it's aesthetics. I needed a strong blade steel in a size that would fit into a minimalist pocket organizer. [I'm personally not a fan of anything too large in my pocket.] The Mini Bugout fit perfectly into my organizer along with a space pen and Streamlight Microstream flashlight. I truly carry this everyday. It's comfortably unnoticeable and convenient. The upgraded S90V blade is capable of every small chore it has faced. The lock and pivot were buttery smooth out of the box. Finally, it's a "looker" too with it's carbon fiber handles, stonewashed blade, and blue accents. It became my choice for every day duty 4 months ago straight out of the box.

Axis lock is rough out of the box. Requires some effort with the thumb to open. Don't believe the Knife Center YouTube videos...they are propaganda. The effortless flicking you see is likely a heavily modified or lubricated knife.Slightly sharp out of the box. Overall, perfect for envelopes and box tape.A little lighter than my Griptillion Mini...so that's a win!Pocket clip is actually the best feature in my opinion. Very svelte. Almost no snags. Miles above Spyderco''s super cheap wire clips.
