best pocket knife yet
The legendary Benchmade sharpness, blade profile and features got me to buy my most expensive pocket knife yet. Out of the box I was disappointed. It didn't even cut a plastic ice bag well. After I honed it I felt like a magic blade. It's thin profile and wicked sharpness sliced through old rubber garden hose, ropes, and everything I needed it for in a clean, fast manner. It keeps on cutting. It's light and thin but fills my relatively large hands. It opens and closes easily and the lick is firm and positive. The beautiful coating on the blade is tough and smooth. For a premium, edge retaining steel, I think it hones easily, aided by the straight edges. The aluminum scales are so light I'm actually shocked compared to others in my collection. I've used probably 75 or more pocket knives over the years and this is my new favorite. Wow! I wish I bought it years ago while it was priced at $270 instead of $350.
