CIVC220063: C22006-3 Gavko Spiny Dogfish Folding Knife - OD Green G10
CIVIVI Knives
Michal Gavac is one of a select few designers whose work is immediately recognizable at first glance. The knives are always characterized by unique blade styles and interesting handle shapes that usually taper toward the butt end in lieu of flaring out. They seem to take nothing from your conventional knife designs and instead go off on their own tangents. Mike also has a penchant for naming them after sharks and, if you look close enough (or less closely like a stereogram), they definitely resemble their namesakes. This Spiny Dogfish for example has the two spines from the dorsal fins represented by the two humps in the handle and the clipped reverse tanto blade tip is pretty spot on for the shark's head. It's a great size for everything and won't break the bank. We highly recommend it.

Love this knife for the price! Those saying it’s too thin and hard to open blows my mind…I can one hand flick this knife in my sleep…in fact it’s one of the easiest knives in my collection to finger flick the opening!

Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Weight
Cons: Ease of Opening, Handle Feel
awkward
Ok, The blade looks cool. However, the slim handle/scales make it difficult to open blade with a single hand. As of now using thumb in groove to open is a little difficult. Go purchase a Civivi Rille. Plenty of grip and a flipper. You will be happier and on sale.

Cool design but thin handle
Cool looking design but the handle is THIN and feels awkward in my hand. The blade steel is acceptable for the price but it’s not the significant upgrade its been hyped as being. The pocket clip is cheap.I give all the folders I purchase the so called “spine whack test” and keep the ones that pass and sale or gift the ones that fail.I will not be keeping this folder.
