CIVC230153: C23015-3 KwaiQ Folding Knife - Blue/Black G10

CIVIVI Knives

The KwaiQ by Polish knife designer Rafal Brzeski is his take on a kwaiken design; slim, slender, and deadly. The blade is a hair under three inches for legality concerns and the cutting edge goes right to the edge of the handle, which we love. The brightly colored handle accents give the design a touch of modesty, taking this typically tactical design and making it a little less menacing. It's got way above average blade-to-weight ratio and is fun to fidget with in between finding things to cut. Another stellar piece from Rafal.

Nice little tanto flipper
This is a sweet little flipper for those of us who like the Tanto style and this one is great for pocket carry! The steel quality is good and the styling and action is great! I like to carry my pocket knives in, well, inside my pocket. Clips are nice but can be obtrusive. After I removed the clip from mine it rode in the pocket easier. I would have liked to see them add a fractional amount of weight to the knife by putting a spacer inside along the spine to prevent things (change and other pocket debris) from jamming up the blade. Overall a great knife for the money.

Great EDC knife for the money!
I am somewhat of a hobby collector. I have a true love of pocket knives, especially the smaller EDC types. I have carried a knife pretty much everyday and everywhere since the age of 12 when my father gifted me a Kabar trapper at the age of 12. I might add that was 56 yrs ago. I have accumulated many over the years. Some fairly high end with most being more of budget knives. I have many older Gerber, Case, Kershaw and Buck models as I have preferred those made in the USA. After reading God things about Civivi I wanted to try one so I purchasd a KwaiQ. I have to say I am very impressed as this is a quality build. I don't particularly get caught up in blade steels as I don't profess to be an expert. As far as I am concerned the D2 steel certainly fits my needs. This knife came razor sharp with a perfectly centered blade with no play. It snaps open easily with a solid frame lock. I can easily open and close it one handed. After this experience there will be more Civivi knives in my future. IMHO I would call not call the brand "budget" as this is a quality knife well made with quality materials. If you are looking for a good quality EDC I highly recommend the Civivi KwaiQ!
