Ideally the knife at your side should be able to tackle any situation while still remaining unobtrusive and ready. This Dirk Pinkerton design perfectly encapsulates this idea. The Ruffian is a stout 3.09" modified Wharncliffe that is slim and lightweight in the pocket while being an absolute cutting machine. The thin blade stock paired with the wide Wharncliffe-style blade and slightly canted cutting edge gives this blade outstanding cutting performance. The long opening hole provides multiple quick deployment options, and the wide handle allows for comfortable use in almost all situations while staying thin and discreet. The addition of a 4-way changeable pocket clip makes this knife even more accessible. While it may not be the biggest knife, the Ruffian will put in just as much work as a large folder and come out on top!

I am a Dirk Pinkerton designs addict. I own several of his custom and production knives and Dirk understands the balance of unity and useful defensive carry. The Ruffian is my go to Everyday Day Carry that is more than capable in a defensive role. A Warny makes a great utility blade but Dirk elevates the point so it in line with the center line so the point can be made… to go just where you want it! The grip is neutral enough so it home in standard and Pikal grips but has enough definition to know the orientation. Add a four position pocket clip, small enough to fit in a fifth pocket and … well just buy one already!
