Inspired by the old Soviet knife Belka (Squirrel) that every USSR boy will remember, this knife is a complete transition away from everything we've previously seen from CKF. It's their first two-hand opening design, though the detent is so spot-on with the Veksha that you can and should be able to do it one-handed. It's a classic design that's not really a front flipper but more of a side opener where you should use the nail nick. Once open, this knife is all business with a truly exceptional amount of cutting power.

The Veksha is a modern take on a timeless classic. It possesses a traditional American-style Bowie blade, made from Bohler M390 stainless steel with a pronounced clip point shape and nicely jimped thumb ramp. There isn't much to prevent you from sliding forward onto the blade besides the single finger groove in the handle which is more than adequate, to say the least. The ergonomic handle is made from blasted titanium with green G10 inlays that have a squirrel etched pattern in honor of the carved original. We view this knife as a gentleman's outdoor/survival knife, a piece that can and should be passed down to your future generations. It has elements of a gentleman's knife yet its size, beastly blade, and rich history is undeniably linked to outdoor adventure. The fact that this knife includes a spare pocket clip, thumb disk, replaceable lockbar insert, pivot, stop pin, and set of bearings make this a knife that will last for years and years.
