The Belgian Bowie Knife was designed with an elegant appearance based on the coordinated lines of the handle and the knife blade. The stylistic basis of the handle was taken from a proven Belgian saber handle of the early 19th Century. The synthesis of a traditional occidental handle, the oriental blade shape, and the charm of a historical era form the special features of this knife.

About the Designer

Tony Lennartz has been an icon in outdoor, survival and bushcraft for decades. His wide range of experience is based on his years of professional activity as a soldier and policeman, as well as on his lifelong passion for life in the wilderness. During many longer stays in Canada, a close connection with the culture of the Native Canadians developed, whose techniques and methods he could learn there. The training courses of Tony Lennartz, which take place on a large area in the Eifel, have taught thousands of participants the foundations of survival in the wild for many years. Like no other, Tony Lennartz bundles the wilderness experience from decades and develops his strategies and techniques permanently. Thus his knife and axe designs are the essence of his knowledge and a clear commitment to his philosophy of uncompromising functionality.

Belgian Bowie.... even better than I expected!
Just purchased this knife, so I haven't field tested it, but it feels like it was made for my hand. Feels a lot smaller than it is, I can see why it would be considered a tactical blade.I bought this knife for my every day carry for my up coming cross country hike from Florida to California with my dog, it goes perfectly with my Condor Batonata Chopper as they compliment one another.Gonna put them both to good use for the next couple years with no time off for good behavior!
