The Squid is an everyday carry folding knife from designer Lucas Burnley of Bend, Oregon. Based on the concept of a compact pistol, it's small in size and big on ability. Don't let the 2.37” blade fool you; this is a full-on, tactically inspired knife that's ready to take on your largest cutting challenges. By designing it in a drop-point style, Burnley was able to give the blade a good balance of tip strength and point geometry for utility tasks, packing all the functionality of a full-size tactical folder, into an easy to carry, compact design.
Just like any good gun, you want something that'll keep you safe. That's why the Squid is built with the Assisted Opening innovation. Nudge the blade open part-way and Assisted Opening activates, snapping it open at super high speed. The IKBS ball bearing pivot system makes for a smooth rotation and a frame lock keeps it solidly in place.
So go ahead and bring this sidearm with you wherever you go. Just remember, it's loaded.
How Assisted Opening Works
It's held securely closed in your pocket, but initiate the deployment, and part-way through the rotation the blade swings open at an impressive speed for simple, powerful, one-handed opening.

One of My New EDC
The Squid is a solid knife, blade material is very fine for being mid range steel sharpens very easily, like most carbon steel, better than "Bucks" 420. Excellent for the price. Knife Center shipped same day I ordered. Was vey surprised, very few company's have done this for me in my experience. The squid is a excellent addition to anyone's collection, a must have. Thank you knife Center.

Held up well
This is the first pocket knife I bought for myself, I’ve now purchased many knifes including some 200 dollar knifes but still find myself grabbing this squid fairly often. It has spent some time on the lake with me and hasn’t rusted either with minimal care. Held up great for the price and if it does fail you could buy 2 of them as replacement for the price of one similar knife from other companies
