Will Not Open Every Time
There is something somewhere on this knife that causes it not open by the flipper. It takes two hands and I can’t have that. This one will go in a drawer. $150 wasted.

With a black, powder-coated upswept blade, this is a knife that is all about function. It's here to protect you—be it in the field, on a mission, or in high-stress environments. Just grab hold of the tough G10 handle that provides an exceptional grip and deploy it with a simple flipper opening. When it's open, Deadbolt engages: steel bolts interlock with the steel blade and the liners to yield outrageous strength. A prominent button sits at the pivot point for simple disengagement.

About the Forged By War program
In 2013, Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT with the news that he had been working with a few combat veterans that had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS).
To help work through their challenges, they have been designing and forging steel into custom tools. Drawing from their experience earned in combat situations, they have been creating tools they wished they had available to them in the battlefield.
CRKT cares deeply about our returning veterans and they saw a way to give back to the community that created them. In 2016, they launched the Forged By War program.
These are mission ready tools, designed by veterans, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the veterans' charity of choice.

Very Clever But Bears Watching
Big beautiful girl. Flipped open easily and very sharp. My first experience with the deadbolt lock. She’s clever but you have to watch her. It took her out one day and the blade wouldn’t budge with the flipper. A call to CKRT told me what to do. I stripped her down and tightened down one side of the lock mechanism. Put her together, the blade was centered but still no flippee. Got on line found out about a tiny hole in one scale. Put a tiny torx wrench in there to loosen or tighten the flippee.

Check out the CIVIVI Knives Jim O’Young Synergy 4
Before you buy a Clever Girl for $144 check out the CIVIVI Knives product, Synergy 4 for $100. My CG locks up due to tiny screws that can loosen. The Synergy 4 is the same size blade, no screws, better steel and is cheaper. I’ll let you know how it is. My CG is in a drawer and useless.
