CR9082: Mike Bond 9082 Compano Folding Knife

Columbia River (CRKT)

The most compact part of your daily quiver. The Compano /kum-pan-oh/ everyday carry keychain carabiner folding knife is a compact yet remarkably useful belt loop blade—the perfect companion for your pocket knife.

Designer Mike Bond of Pearl City, Hawaii took everything he loves about a hardworking daily carry and shrunk it down to keychain size. The just under 1.5" high-carbon stainless steel blade is easy to sharpen and holds its edge. Disengage the slip joint and it neatly tucks into the black stonewashed handle. TiNo bronze-colored accents give it an aesthetic boost and the integrated carabiner makes it a strong addition to your keyring.

The Compano is the pal your everyday pocket knife never knew it needed.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Weight
Cons: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip
Cool little thing
It's a bit hard to open and, without a locking blade, closes easier than it opens. The cog things have been pointed out by others as fairly easy to have fall off and lose, something I will keep an eye on. Overall it's a very nice, cool looking and ultra compact knife though, and doesn't have a 'scary/tacticool' look if one might want to avoid to use it for light-duty, public daily tasks, which is why picked it originally. Perfect for a jeans coin pocket. Not sure if the actual carabiner will be of much use for me but time will tell, it's got a great spring on it anyways. Locking blade would be nice but as I understand it there was something about it being more compliant to carry in a wider variety of places without one.

Nice little addition to my hiking bag
Very aesthetically appealing in a compact size. Affordable and a handy size that feels comfortable in the hand. Love the ergonomics and the counseled slip-joint.
