The Mighty Squirrel
Wonderful inexpensive knife! I have a couple and just ordered another. I keep one in each tool box and glove compartment. Strong slip-joint, easy to sharpen...just keep a little oil on the blade. Not an heirloom knife but a good working blade.

Douk-Douk Squirrel -- Great knife but one small flaw
Douk Douks are great basic knives. I use it for normal EDC tasks. It was easy to convex the edge with sandpaper. Soft steel by today's standards, but once the edge is established, it gets scary sharp--sharper than I can get the super steels on my other knives. Touching it up on a strop is easy, quick, and it gets scary sharp again. This Squirrel version is a departure from the historial Douk Douk blade shape. I gave it four intead of five stars because when I close the knife, the metal cross-pin dings the edge. I will re-profile the edge with sandpaper until it misses the pin. Once it's done, no one will ever notice I did it. Douk Douks are a piece of history, and hold their own against the "magic" blades of today. The only other knives that I can get as sharp are the Mercator K55 Cat, and the Svord L6 knives. I convex them all, and they get screaming sharp in no time.
